Costume designer Jarbas Pereira has envisioned and is bringing to life this evening a quartet of distinct inspirations…
…showcased in an eclectic extravaganza with choreographer Andrea Moreira. Through her expressive arrangement of movement, she artfully brings twenty dancers and performers into symbiosis with more than fifty sumptuous costumes. All of which are individually-designed and hand-crafted with feathers, saturated with rhinestones and Swarovski crystals.
We open with the splendor of the quintessential symbol of glamour, excitement, and beauty that is showgirls, but with an unexpected twist. This time, the girls wear the bow ties and the boys wear the heels.
Dazzling costumes of go-go shorts, heels, sparkling crystal arm pieces dangling from the waist, six-foot tall crystal and ostrich feather headdresses, and more than 200 yards of ostrich boa are reserved for these Showboys while the girls pack a lot of attitude in their cool fish-tail tuxedo waist jackets, top hats, and bow-ties.The featured costume for this segment is “Angel,” a 15-foot feathered costume with more than 2,000 white peacock and ostrich plumes.
Next, prepare to be enveloped in grandeur crescent sheens of exotic blue and dazzling green. Dancers parade gorgeous costumes of unbelievable height and spectacular artistry.We close with our featured costume, “Peacock,” with its impressive 17-foot feathers, masterfully assembled on stage for all to see.

Mudcloth costumes accentuated with fashion jewelry transport the audience to the lush and verdant lands of Africa.The featured costume for this segment, “Hakala,” is embellished with 15 feet of feathered flames that seemingly leap off stage in a spectacular display of sensuality and beauty that is sure to amaze audience members wherever their gaze may wander.
Finally, follow us as we take the lead through the extreme twists and turns encountered on our journey through life.In a powerful and moving symbolic display, the feature costume, “Rainbow,” juxtaposes the erratic forces of a 15-foot tall peacock feathered twister against the tranquility of a peaceful chandelle boa rainbow, demonstrating the power of pride and confidence to see you through to brighter days ahead.
